The server this forum is hosted on only gives us a maximum of 200 MB of space free of charge before we would have to start paying. Currently we're using a little over 1 MB a day, which means this forum should be fine until February/March 2018, but for as long as we stay a private forum we won't be able to rely on ad revenue, so it's important that we keep the amount of space being used by photos etc down to a minimum. I would much appreciate it therefore if you only post photos which have been linked to via a hosting site - imgur.com is by far the best in my experience. If you have any opinions on what we should do after the 200 MB limit has been reached or have any advice on how to keep usage down, feel free to let us know here: cdweather.boards.net/thread/117/goal-forumThank you!

Mod bump:As you know, we have a capacity of 200MB on this server before we have to start paying to use it. However, hotlinking images from imagehosting sites like Imgur/Photobucket will NOT use any of this data, so if you want to use this forum for a long, long time, PLEASE hotlink all your images from now on. Imgur <---- link Here is the best imagehosting website on the internet, IMO. Clean, efficient, fast and very easy to use. You can sign up (which only takes two minutes) or remain anonymous. Make sure that when you upload your image, use the "BBCode (Forums)" hotlink under the "get share links" option as seen below with an example image. When inserting the image into your post, delete the [img.] tags. Alternatively, you can paste the BBcode (Forums) link directly into the BBcode tab option here when you're making a post. This might make it a little easier. Long live the WWF!

Just a quick update here, Baba has said that the way to resize images in Imgur etc is to add a H on the end of the URL code, i.e. i.imgur.com/abcd123.jpg becomes abcd123h.jpg. I haven't tried it myself, but I take his word for it Also, if you want to post big hi-res images that are going to take a while for people to load, it's a good idea to hide them inside a spoiler so that those who want to see them can see them properly. One last thing - if you are replying to a post with images/photos in it, please remove the links to the images/photos in your post unless you think there's a good reason for them to show up on the screen twice
