The coolest 5 months in Luxor are nice, and nighttime lows are not too bad the rest of the year so i could comfortably venture out at night. Aridity is an issue but there is always irrigation of course, but I would still miss the rain.
Tasaliq's winter is actually slightly milder than Mpls so actually not that harsh in terms of temps, just has no warm season whatsoever and the darkness + katabatic winds sound really rough to deal with. Certainly could go much worse in the arctic tho.

Luxor, relunctantly. I prefer to deal with scorching summers that last for 9 months than have anything resembling a polar night. Some months in Tasiliaq are definitely bearable and even desirable, but November-January especially sucks IMO.

The cradle of civilization vs polar bear wasteland. Luxor it is. That has a lot more to do with geographical factors that created the Nile, the lifeblood of the area, rather than the local climate, which is anti-life in most situations. So yeah, shut up. Random nameless person who I'm being cocky towards because I have no idea who you are and know that you can't respond to me 🍑
