Here's a pic from Laguna Beach: And Waimea: Easily Waimea.

Laguna Beach. MUCH more interestingโhas an actual chance for cold, gets some heat, some variability, thereโs more seasonal range, high diurnals in winter, and itโs recorded snow before.
Waimea would bore me to death.

Those views score very high both my maritime and inland standards ๐๐ฟMรถrรถn๐๐ฟ Either way, this one is not easy for me, since both are really solid A climates. I genuinely struggle to decide this...
I think the more ideal seasonal swing pattern of Laguna Beach settles it (ideally I'd want a 7ยฐC annual swing). Wouldn't be too keen on the wildfires around there though. I'm very doubtful that weather station is on the shoreline though

Both excellent, but I might pick Waimea as I suspect Laguna Beach has a chilly sea breeze much of the time.

Where's the option for "das gay"? So, what did you vote? I know it's a "gay" climate battle but you have to choose.

Laguna Beach. WTF -1C record low in JULY?!
Waimea has a horribly lame and boring temp regime, far too cool.

Laguna Beach for the seasonality. A very nice climate anyway. Waimea is pretty decent too.
Finally two good climates battling it out! Both are Bs to me...

Waimea is pretty much the ideal season less climate. That said Laguna Beach is still better.

laguna beach has a bit better temps, but am picking waimea for not having a long dry season.
