Silence Of The Lambs was on TV tonight, I hadn't seen it for a long time. It's the ultimate serial killer movie. A masterclass performance of Hannibal Lecter by my fellow Welshman, Anthony Hopkins. They say it's the least time on screen for an actor to have won an Oscar, about 12 minutes.
9/10

La La Land - 8/10. I hate musicals but this was amazing. I was expecting a Hollywood circlejerk like Once Upon a Time, but it was more about the struggle of getting there in the first place and the sacrifices you have to make. Cinematography was mindblowing too
Whiplash - 9/10. Sweatiest movie ever. Amazing portrayal of tension and anxiety. Incredibly realistic and relatable

Tenet - Very mediocre, by far the worst Nolan movie that I've seen. Cliched and you don't care about any of the characters on screen Tenet is fucking terrible. Donโt sugarcoat it.

Hillbilly Elegy......( sigh, where to begin.... ) got about third to half way through it .....just didn't grab me by goolies so to speak. Will give it another go when the mood takes me, see if I can finish it. ( and I like Amy Adams as an actress.... ) Watched a 4K version of Lord of the Rings ( the first one ) since.... yeah was still pretty good !

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
A hard one to write up about. Generally an incoherent, poorly-paced screenplay, but improves over time. Some dreadful acting, and some great acting. Weird accents, people talking like retards, guys strolling across medieval England with American accents. Alan Rickman was particularly great, as he always was.
Overall a weird film, a sloppy prodution, but overall entertaining and endearing at times.
6/10.

'Promising Young Woman'...... not my usual movie fare.... But I thought it was very well done...... highly recommended ! PS/- anything with Margot Robbie ( genuine Aussie hottie ) in the credits gets my attention, alas in this movie she's a producer, not an actress

Parasite (yea I'm late to the game). 9/10, clever plot. And now I know what August 2020 in Seoul looked like Giorbanguly.

Take the Ball, Pass the Ball.
Feature-length documentary about FC Barcelona from 2008-2012. Perhaps the best team the sport has seen. Very interesting, I enjoyed it.

Tenet - Very mediocre, by far the worst Nolan movie that I've seen. Cliched and you don't care about any of the characters on screen I saw this around the same time and it's by far not just one of the worst nolan films, but one of the worst films ive ever had the disprivilege of seeing. The plot made was boring which didn't make you want to engage with its over the top complex plot, and the dialogue was hard to understand because of how loud the bg music was. Just an all around shitty film. Its amazing how this is from the same guy who made dark knight and dunkirk.
