Located on the shores of Lake Eucumbene in Southern NSW, snowfall is often heavy and frequent during Winter; this owes to the prosperous supply of moisture owing to its location along the alps, and perhaps somewhat of a "lake-effect" snowfall from Lake Eucumbene. Snowfall can be expected at any time of the year, and has fallen in every season save for mid/late summer. As expected of its location, there are high winds year-round. I'll give it an A–: nigh-perfect precip pattern and amount as well as perfect winters, though summer mins are much too cool with not enough summer lag. ~Braemar Bay (1,190 m AMSL) pictured; upstream of the lake itself; surface elevation 1,168 m AMSL^

D+
It's okay. Does lack some excellence though. Summer nights are too cool and winters would be quite frustrating with highs within the boring single digits all the time, with lows mostly resulting in wet snow rather than lasting snowfalls.

A-
It's a great subtropical highland climate. Just needs slightly cooler winters.

D.
Add 5-6c to the lows and halve the precipitation and it would be a C (like the typical southern English climate).

C-/D+, nonexistant winters drops it signifcantly. Summer lows are a bit cool and not wet enough

C-/D+, nonexistant winters drops it signifcantly. Summer lows are a bit cool and not wet enough Most Aussies reckon this is as about as shithouse as a winter can get ( not counting that offshore Island to our South and Mount Read in particular ) The vast majority of the population lives at low altitude either coastal or inland and have little if any experience of winters below 35*S and/or above 900m asl. For most it is a novelty to take a day trip to the snow for sightseeing.

I'll give it a solid A. Temperatures and precipitation pattern are nearly perfect, although summer could be wetter and stormier.
