It's finally summertime, lads. Some 31ยฐC for me in the forecast, with a small period of cooler weather. ACCESS looks fairly consistent with mid to high-20s past Friday too.

Heat wave right now in Esquel. First time breaking the 30ยฐC threshold in the second half the year. And as usual, I'm dying ๐ I've got less heat tolerance than a British person.

Different type of Argies in that regard down there? It is so far from the stereotype of Latin American climates I can imagine... Palider Anyway, just saw that the current air temp way offshore off the cold current outside of Namibia and Angola was 20ยฐC at 15ยฐS, this a long way out in the ocean. Those cold west coast SH currents are rather astonishing in how strong those are compared to what latitudes those extend to in California.

I fail to see the relationship between language and heat tolerance... Nope that was not what I meant (America was missing from that sentence from some reason), but I meant compared to the climates typically associated with Argentina, it is a lot different.

A lot of important Latin cities are located in places with very not stereotypical climates, like Lima, Bogota, Cuzco, Quito, CDMX, Sรฃo Paulo, Valparaiso, etc

SO shit that the Pannawonica station has been closed down Slightly disappointed in Marble Bar today, yes it got to 48.5C but I expected atleast 49C considering the 3C warmer 850hpa temps compared to yesterday's 48.0C obs. Tomorrow though the uppers look slightly hotter and the heat will spread to the Pilbara Coast unlike today.
