Which is your favourite climate on each continent?
North America: Beckley, West Virginia, USA South America: Montevideo, Uruguay Africa: Port Elizabeth, South Africa Europe: Graz, Austria Asia: Kunming, China Australasia: Bowral, Australia
Btw, does anybody know of a subtropical highland climate in Asia with less humid summers than Kunming? I'd probably choose somewhere different if I knew that part of the world better.

Europe: Gap, France or maybe Gibraltar, or maybe La Rochelle. North America: Either semi-coastal LA or San Rafael. (Although Waimea, Hawaii beats them both (probably my favorite in the world)) South America: Caracas or perhaps Calama Africa: East London, perhaps Paarl/Wellington or somewhere around there, or Eldoret, Kenya. Asia: I don't think I've found a specific favorite, but some subtropical highland climate between northern India and south-central China Oceania: Tauranga.

If you're looking for strictly lower humidity then Panzhihua accomplishes that but at a cost of hotter summers and thus is Cwa not Cwb: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panzhihua#Geography_and_climateOther options in the area are Lijiang and Dali which aren't really improvements over Kunming, at least as far as humidity goes: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lijiang#Climateen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dali_City#ClimateXichang looks pretty good to be honest: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xichang#Climate

In that case, would you prefer Figueira da foz or Sagres over Caldas Rainha?

In that case, would you prefer Figueira da foz or Sagres over Caldas Rainha? Good suggestion! The record highs are significantly lower and the average highs are closer to my ideal range(24~25ยฐC) in Launceston's summer months. Admit I overlook their climate because when I searched climates in Tasmania, nowhere comes closer to Hobart's favorable diurnal range and annual sunshine hours. Between the two Portuguese cities, because I know their winters are obviously warmer than my standard, the primary thing I'm looking for is how pleasant the summers so, yes I would choose Figueira anytime.

Launceston has a better climate than Hobart. Significantly better summers, and more sunshine than Melbourne. More of less the only choice in Tasmania if you want a proper town with the closest thing to a summer.

Launceston easily the best in Australia. All other otherwise great climates of Australia get shit on by bipolar weather. However, I think I prefer Tauranga in New Zealand for Australiasia personally.
