Launceston easily the best in Australia. All other otherwise great climates of Australia get shit on by bipolar weather. However, I think I prefer Tauranga in New Zealand for Australiasia personally. Far from the best in Australia, the best climates there can be found in north and northwest Western Australia. But for Tasmania, it is pretty much the best climate in the state, and it has some lovely scenery and a nice river to boot. Lots of interesting historic architecture aswell. And it is a large, civilised town which has the first big box bottle shop in Tasmania and freeways leading to the subarctic towns in the NW and to the airport. It also has more sunshine than Melbourne, and it has comprehensive airline links to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane so is linked to the world. Pretty much the only place with warmer summer highs in Tasmania is Ouse, but it is a tiny village and has much lower year-round lows and slightly lower winter highs than Launceston. If I lived in Tasmania, Launceston would be my home. Climatically, I'd actually pick it over many southern Victorian towns including Portland, Port Fairy, and Warnambool which all have lower summer averages and are cloudier.

Oymyakon, yk, Russia (A+)
Cambridge Bay, nu, Canada (A+) Edit: Gjoa Haven and Pond Inlet might be even better. Baker Lake wins if we only consider the mainland of NA.
Karasjok, Norway (A-)
South Pole, Antarctica (B+)
Charlotte Pass, nsw, australia (B-)
Ushuaia, Argentina (C+)
Ifrane, Morocco (C)

Best Climates by Continent:
Africa: Ifrane has good precip (albeit too unevenly distributed), but a ridiculous amount of lag, so I'll choose Khenchela instead, even if its on the dry side.
N Am: Forest Grove, or something a bit more continental nearby like hood river or cascade locks is good. Blacksburg VA and Newhaven are also great.
S Am: ChillΓ‘n is good, something in Arg probably as well, or Montevideo. Probably can't find anything continental enough that isn't dried out so going for milder winter options here. MalargΓΌe has fairly good temps but is too dry.
Europe: Grenoble/Turin, L'Aquila, Pazin, Bragança, Embrun
East Asia: Donghae, altho not quite ideal
S Asia: Qazigund for sure!

EDIT: Solan is better than Srinagar for South Asia.

North America: Minocqua, USA (A+). Nearest Wiki Box is Ashland. Other good ones: Duluth, Ottawa, Montreal, Sudbury, Sault Ste. Marie
Europe: Kazan, Russia (A+) Outside of Russia, something like Sundsvall, Sweden (A-)Asia: Yekaterinburg, Russia (A). Very close to the European climate. Outside of Russia, Gyumri, Armenia and Kars, Turkey are good. In east Asia, Vladivostok if it gets decent snow cover in winter. Obihiro in Hokkaido is also decent. But both climates have too much summer cloud and seasonal lag. South America: El BolsΓ³n, Argentina (B): Most places have way too much winter rain but this one isn't bad. Esquel is too dry. and summer isn't warm enough. This unsourced, unrealistic climate box for Los Γngeles, Chile is really good for a snowless climate and it might be somebody's favorite here. Just don't look at the real one above it. Oceania: Wanaka, New Zealand (B): Has a winter, not too hot, not too dry, chance of snow, mountains nearby. Best in Australia is somewhere near Sydney or Canberra
Antarctica: Mirny Station (E). Lots of snowfall, good sunshine, and relatively mild in winter. Wind is common so it probably gets a lot of blizzards and storms. It a mediterranean precipitation pattern, quite a few places in Antarctica do.

Crunch41 that climate does look good for Africa. I like Batna slightly better though for the drier winters and hotter summers.

Plenty of snowfall in the town itself; heavier, more frequent snowfall upon the surrounding ranges and tablelands. Orange, NSW is also a good bet if you want a four-seasonal yet drier climate.

Orange, NSW is also a good bet if you want a four-seasonal yet drier climate. Orange is better than Wanaka for the warmer, more variable summers. Winter is surely more variable too. So Orange, NSW wins. Batlow is a bit too wet. Orange Wiki Box
