snow is forecasted on friday and saturday, so if this forecast holds true, göteborg will have its first white christmas since 2010. there have been several years that came close, though. in 2012, there was snow the 25th, and in 2014 and 2015 there was snow the 27th.

Christmas eve: 34/19 sunny Christmas day: 33/20 sunny
Solid forecast, seabreeze coming in around midday on both days. Perfect weather, hot enough to need beer+fizzy drinks but not hot enough to force you indoors

8-9°C and cloudy, but still a few days away so subject to change. Certainly no white christmas. I bet the last time Sheffield had a white Christmas was 2010.

Pretty good but sadly there’s a low chance of accumulating snow by then.

Nothing special for NYE but much better than the thawed out muck of the past several years.

Our weather forecast for the next couple of days basically says: "intermittent foehn wind". ^ I don't trust the temperatures too much, in particular today, tomorrow and on Xmas the temperatures could be sensibly higher than this. Tomorrow in particular risks to have freaking warm highs over large areas of the region, also 20+°C: The problem is that this warm weather is also present in the high part of the valley, which in this period of the year are full of tourists who want to ski. But with this weather it is impossible, because the avalanche risk is too high and the little snow present is quickly melting. Foehn wind at the beginning of the Xmas holiday, without any new snow in sight, is one of the worst scenarios for our ski plants.

Temps downgraded a bit, but it's for the better. NY is forecast to be something of a cool spell, mostly sunny with highs around 30 C and lows of 17-20 C. Still a long way off though.
