Watching now: The Americans—The first 2 seasons were good but since then it’s gone way downhill. Lots of plotholes, very repetitive episodes, idiot plots, people acting out of character, etc.
Lol, good to know. I watched the 2 first seasons, but grew a bit tired of it. If it's crap after that I won't pick it up again.
Watching the 2nd season of Mr. Robot. Damn this doesn't reward the viewer at all, just one depressing event after the other. But it's still good, but pretty painful to watch.

Just started on The Expanse. Reminds me a bit of the Mass Effect games.

I'm watching Le Bureau des Legendes. It took awhile to arrive here, first 4 seasons were aired starting from April. It started airing in Norway as well at the same time.
It's about the DGSE, the French CIA. It was a bit slow burner, first 3-4 episodes were pretty meh and I had a hard time to get emotionally attached to the characters but after that it has been golden. It's also good for expanding your Hartfordd vocabulary.

I've been told that "Dark" is the best show on tv at the moment, going to try and watch it these holidays. All I'm aware is that it's a german sci-fi show and it might have something to do with time travel or teleportation. Heard nothing but excellent things if people want a show to watch and it's on netflix.

Re-watching Xena Warrior Princess. Old series, but I have seen it just some years ago for the first time. Love it. Fighting against all the evil.

Ah Xena, my and many others' first virtual crush. Not my crush , but I like Hercules as well. Both are great series. Based on Greek mythology, filmed in New Zealand. Timeless.

TV-series with a badass female main character was quite rare back then. Of course then there was Buffy and so on...

Up to S3E2 of Dark, definitely my favourite tv show of all time (and that's not saying much cos I don't watch much tv). I absolutely recommend it, particularly for sci-fi and drama fans. Also it has the highest IMDB rating of any tv show...so that's something It's one of those shows that sticks in your head for days after you watch an episode, and there's so many ways it can go. My favourite aspects of it (spoiler free) The casting The fact they've only signed on for 3 years and had a complete storyline before they began filming (trust me unlike some other netflix hits e.g. Stranger Things it feels extremely well thought out and flows so well) The flow of the storyline The way the show kind of morphs in style and tone every few episodes to keep you guessing.

Watched the first two episodes of the BBC miniseries "The Salisbury Poisonings".
Didn't know the contamination was such widespread and caused so long-lasting effects.

Almost done with season five of Schitts Creek. Hilarious and very well-written show. You actually become emotionally invested in most of the characters and start rooting for them. My only familiarity with Catherine O'Hara was with the Home Alone movies...I didn't realize what a talented actress she is. Watching now: The Americans—The first 2 seasons were good but since then it’s gone way downhill. Lots of plotholes, very repetitive episodes, idiot plots, people acting out of character, etc. Brokenwood Mysteries—Very good murder mystery. Episodes are 1.5 hours but they’re lighthearted and the characters are enjoyable so I don’t mind. Recently finished: Last Man Standing. First 6 seasons were very good then when it came back it fell off a cliff. In addition to being funny, it was very refreshing to have a conservative character. Last Man Standing was funny but agreed it started to go downhill. Too many character changes as well which throws the show off IMO. Same thing has happened with American Housewife.

Remember the Stephen King classic 'The Stand' ? Well there is a remake of the 1994 mini series just released. I've watched the first 2 eps...... jury is out on whether I'll persevere with it. There's enough there so far ( and I have read the book, so know the storyline ) to pique my interest, but the timeline swaps and changes around, and I imagine it would be confusing for those not familiar with book.

Anyone here seen Peaky Blinders? I've heard it's good, but have never bothered with it.

No, me neither. Maybe I should give it a try.

Is it any good?
