By chance, I see that Latvian TV is showing the Norwegian historic series Atlantic Crossing tonight. Interesting...

Modern Love. Neat feel good miniseries. The Office (US) Watched a couple episodes from the first series way back, but was bored. They didn't get the tone quite right at first. It seems to have gotten into its groove now I'm watching the 2nd season. Wanna watch this one next. Hopefully your comment will help.

The Office indeed is perfect for binge-watching. Though it does take a while to get into it. First season is mediocre

So it is worth a watch? Hmm, maybe I should.

90% recommend it on Google. I like it too, at least the first episodes. If you are interested in politics, and it seems that you are interested in it indeed, you should.

I don't trust you about music or Israel, but on this I'll trust you.

Just finished 'Mare of Easttown', a police psychological/thriller/murder mystery procedural staring Kate Winslet. Best TV viewing of 2021 so far !

Just finished 'Mare of Easttown', a police psychological/thriller/murder mystery procedural staring Kate Winslet. Best TV viewing of 2021 so far ! Being very familiar and living nearby Delco, where Mare of Eastown was filmed, I have to say they did a very good job with our local dialect. Kate Winslet mentioned it was one of the hardest local dialect she has ever done.
Did you notice the difference between our local accent and say Boston or New York, or the flat boring accent of the American midwest (worst accent in US by far)?
Funny the local member of congress tweeted that it was finally cool to watch a tv show where no one had an accent lol.

I recently watched the whole run of 'Schitts Creek' over a couple of weeks, after having only seen bits of it in the past, really enjoyed it & sad it has now finished. Currently watching 'It's a Sin', watching it weekly as it airs though to spread it out, rather than bingeing all the episodes in one go. Also watching 'WandaVision', very different & clever show. I laughed from beginning to end of that whole show. Every episode was hilarious to me.
Moira was my favorite by far. When she went to that used car lot and put on the cockney accent to get a better deal I was losing it.

A very noticable accent to my foreigners ears. I thought Kate Winslet did a pretty good job with it. One of the prime skills actors need is accent mastery. Kate Winslet did an excellent Aussie accent in a locally made movie called 'The Dressmaker' a few years ago.

Speaking of accents and very very good TV shows, I just finished wathing a British 3 parter called 'Time' ( as in serving time in prison ) Starring Sean Bean as a man in his mid 50's sent to gaol for 4 years for culpable negligent driving where a kills a cyclist while driving drunk. Brilliant show and Sean Bean plays the part perfectly. The series is set in a Liverpool prison, the accents are all Liverpudlian Scouse, almost impossible to understand. Subtitles are your friend ! Anyways, highly recommended !

I just watched Invincible, a short cartoon superhero series based on a comic. Very good, it's also like 350 minutes in total so it's easy to binge watch the entire first season. They did NOT chill with the gore. The way they presented the next season in the end wasn't that exciting, but the first season was a really good watch.

Mr Bean, haven't seen it for years. He reminds me of Adi.

Season 2 of 'Black Summer' on Netfix....fuck me those fast zombies are way scarier than the 'slow' shuffling zombies of TWD and FTWD.

Almost finished an Icelandic Netfix show called 'Katla'. Supernatuaral themes and a typically Nordic 'slow burn' type of series. The Netfix version in AU has dubbed English, which shits me to tears, better off listening to the original language and reading sub titles imo. Anyways, I rate it highly.

Been rewatching Blackadder. One of my favourite comedies due to the witty humour and historical settings.
Although I didn't rewatch the first season since it's almost like a different show. Becomes much better in season 2 when they rewrite the main character into an evil genius rather than a medieval Mr Bean.

Finally got talked into watching Peaky Blinders, excellent so far.
It's refreshing to see a British historical drama that explores a grittier theme and setting. Rather than pretending everyone was an aristocrat living in a gigantic stately home out in the countryside.
