Skiing at Blue Knob, PA (highest skiable mountain in Pennsylvania - 3,174 ft ASL) Heading up to the mountain, picture taken from a nearby mountain at around 2,000 ft View from the summit, looking east towards the Altoona - Bedford Great Valley. With a 2,000+ ft rise from those towns, the climate on the summit of Blue Knob is drastically different. Probably bordering Dfc Trails were a bit icy, snow depth at the resort is about 60" but the top layer was slick. The temperature dropped below 0F the night before I arrived Woods skiing was very prevalent

Went skiing at Eldora with my brother and his family today and yesterday. First skiing Iβve done this season, not the last though.

Cool Steelernation . I just got back from skiing in Zermatt, Switzerland! Someone landed a plane in the backcountry, decided to go check it out. Nice background for a group photo. Turned on my ski app for the second half of the day yesterday.

Great to be back skiing again after the lockdown - someone else's photo, showing the current conditions at the local ski area

Skied for the first time this season today at Eldora. Not too many runs open and tons of bare ground but still always fun.

This is where one of the ski jumps is located for the Beijing winter olympics. What the fuck?

Just so much wrong with all that.

Surely the point of hosting an event like this is to project an airbrushed image of the country to the world. Instead, they've spent billions to show the world that their country looks like the setting of a Fallout game.

This is where one of the ski jumps is located for the Beijing winter olympics. What the fuck? Everyone on the Olympic Committee should be fired. Jesus, have it in fucking Shanghai
Here's one in Lake Placid, NY used in 1980. I've actually visited here

You never skiied while living in Pittsburgh or Rochester? Surprised with all the outdoor stuff you do I was saying I skied that season for the first time. I went to Colorado for ski trips a bunch as a kid so Iβve done a lot of skiing. Never did much around Pittsburgh or Rochester though.

Skied for the 10th time this season (at 5 different mountains). Definitely getting to take advantage of living in Colorado this year in terms of skiing.
