Tobermory is located on a peninsula in Lake Huron about 300km north of Toronto. Winter and summer are mild by Ontario standards, and the temperatures are surprisingly similar to parts of Northern Europe.
Environment Canada doesn't have 1981-2010 normals for Tobermory. There are partial 1961-1990 normals online with similar temperatures but two months are missing.
The closest station with a wiki box is about 50km northwest on an island. Winter averages are a little cooler there but summer is almost the same. Sun hours for this station are 2,040. 307 in July and 58 in December.
I give it a B. The spring warm-up is way too slow and summer could be warmer and longer. Winter looks snowy enough to keep a good snowpack without severe cold.

C. Winters are fine but the rest of the year is several degrees too cool for my liking.

I would rate it a D+. Like a wetter Helsinki... it looks better than Helsinki... a lot worse than here though

I would rate it a C+. Like a wetter Helsinki... it looks better than Helsinki... Summers are pleasant and mild, but the rest of the year is simply too cold... is there a warmer climate like this in Ontario as well? Toronto with more marine moderation? There are no mild-winter climates in Ontario. The warmest by yearly average temperature is probably Windsor at 49.8F/9.9C. Windsor Riverside is 51.3F/10.7C. Summer is much warmer than Tobermory, and probably humid too. Windsor is next to Detroit.
Pelee Island is an island further south, but the weather is not much different than Windsor. There are two wiki boxes one is slightly milder than the other.

I was actually looking for something with similar summers (maybe a bit warmer) but somewhat milder winters

Like a British climate with longer, much colder winters, surprising find considering where it is!
Too much winter for me though so D+, the + being because the extra sun at the lower latitude will make it feel a little bit warmer than those numbers sound to me.

C.
Summers need to be way warmer and drier and winters need to be cooler and snowier.

You should dock off another whole letter grade just because many homes in southern Ontario have AC.

D+. I wouldn't have guessed that this is a Canadian climate. Looks more like northeastern Europe/Scandinavia.
