The battle of climates in Australia's southerly neighbour Tasmania is a mainly maritime climate with variations throughout the landmass that will make choosing difficult. Hobart: the warmest minimums on the island thanks to UHI and a coastal location Launceston: the 2nd largest city, with wetter winters and more pronounced summers Devonport: On the northern coast, Devonport is heavily moderated by the ocean giving it nothing in the way of heat but very stable temperatures compared to the rest of the state. Ouse: The place with the warmest summer maximums in Tasmania and has a mediterrenean precipitation pattern. Swansea: located on the eastern coast, Swansea receives some of the strongest heatwaves in relation to its average temps. Strahan: on the isolated west coast Strahan barely reaches 20C in summer and has regularly heavy falls from cold fronts battering the coastline. Mount Read: a lovely subtropical paradise Liawenee: located in the highlands, near ski slopes it receives occasional snowfall in winter.

Launceston. Best combination of everything.

Ouse has the best temperatures but it's too dry in summer. Launceston wins for having more summer rain. They are all decent except for the last three, all aren't warm enough in summer.

Liawanee for having the best winters. Jesus Christ they're all fucking terrible though.

Liawenee is a great climate! I've been waiting quite a while for someone to make a wikibox of it.

Launceston. Devonport is pretty nice too for having guaranteed cool summer.

Mount read, but fuck is it wet there. Coolest temps make it the best, Tasmania is not somewhere where I'd ever pick lol

I'll go with Launceston; Ouse would be my next choice.

Deffintly Strahan. The others are either too dry or get too much snow.

Launceston. But all of them are much better than their NZ counterparts.

Launceston. But all of them are much better than their NZ counterparts. Relative to altitude and latitude, West Tassie climates are actually colder than their NZ counterparts.

Nope, Mount Read is by far the snowiest of this lot. I never saw this nonsense until now, so forgive me for the late reply ππ»

They're all garbage. Reluctantly Launceston.

Liaweenee. At least the summers are not ridiculously cool.
