Hate that fucken map. Sad thing is it's 110% accurate, despite the botev timeframe. That dickfinger touching Mildura is also 110% accurate
And that circle over Buttcrack Hill, well what can I say

My new dream climate has about 110 thunderstorm days per year. So that's about right for me.

About 50 thunderstorms per annum would be the sweet spot for me I think. There should be a noticeable summer peak but also scattered throughout the other seasons for variety.

11 thunderstorms in year is enough: 1 in May, 2 in June and September, 3 in July and August.

7-10
Not a big fan of them, but a few of them won't hurt. Just for variety's sake.

50 sounds nice, thatโs plenty but not too common so that theyโre still somewhat of interest. Thunderstorm activity should also peak during the spring months, with a secondary peak during the fall months, and be mostly frontal in nature. Below listed are the averages for my dream climate.

60 would be good. 3 in April, 9 in May, 15 in June, 15 in July, 12 in August, 6 in September would be a good distribution.

2 in April, 6 in May, 9 in June, 11 in July, 10 in August, 3 in September would be a good distribution. Plus maybe 1 the rest of the year.
That adds up to 42 so Iโd pick the 31-45 range.

My dream climate gets 74.8 thunder days per year on average - toward the lower end of the 71-100 range. Most rain days are accompanied by thunder and a decent lightning show. Pretty evenly distributed throughout the year as well.

January: 0.2 February: 0.2 March: 0.4 April: 2.7 May: 7.8 June: 10.9 July: 13.4 August: 12.5 September: 2.9 October: 0.5 November: 0.1 December: 0.2
Total: 51.8 storms
Now in the 46-70 category, storms are becoming much more important to me.

My dream climate is being made in real time, so not sure what the total thunder days will be. It is looking like about 60 or more per year so far.
That's a few more than Sheffield, which averages 1 day a year.

I picked 16-30 but only at night. Nothing better than relaxing at night having a drink hearing the thunder outside or in bed. We get a few here in Perth but they are nothing exciting
