Would you prefer the cooler and cloudier Chongqing, the warmer and sunnier Singapore, or Hanoi which is in between? I'll go with Chongqing for now as I think I can handle it as I am used to cloudy winters. Also at low latitudes sunshine can penetrate through the clouds, and sunshine is less important in warm climates anyways. However, I'd have to live in each climate to be sure. For now I'll give Chongqing and Hanoi a C- while Singapore gets a D+. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chongqing#Climateen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanoi#Climateen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singapore#ClimateAs usual, human-caused air pollution and other non-climatic factors should not be considered.

Hanoi is the best compromise between three really bad climates.

Chingqing. Driest and most continental.

Any reason for choosing these three?
Chongqing is the least horrible.

Any reason for choosing these three? Chongqing is the least horrible. He probably wanted to examine the tradeoff between cooler temperature vs more sunshine.

Hanoi is the best compromise between three really bad climates. Agreed. Chongqing has the best temperatures but it's far too cloudy. Hanoi has a cool season, much better than Singapore which is tropical summer all year.

Singapore. The others are far too cloudy. Plus it has something like 150+ thunder days.

The great circle arc between Chongqing and Singapore gets very close to Hanoi and Phnom Penh:

Probably the worst climate battle ever (worst in a good way, as in the most CHALLENGING)! Like choosing between three types of cancers. Where do I start!? Because I have passionate towards all these climates you listed! Lmao!
Chongqing is a cloud-choked, sunless hellhole. So fuck that! F-
Hanoi at least has some seasonality, but it's too wet and abominably cloudy too! F+
Singapore is the sunniest, but still pretty cloudy, on top of being monotonic and wet all fucking year round. F
So Hanoi "wins", but then again I still want to lean on Singapore for its sun.

Hanoi has the best temps out of these, but the hideously cloudy winters, nope. Singapore it is.

They all get way too much warm rain, but Chongqing's temps are close to my ideal plus it's the driest, so it wins easily.

Chongqing has the most brutal summer heat (anyone remember August 2022), Hanoi has the most brutal summer dew points, Singapore is basically a Miami summer year round.
