I'll give this one an A- rating. The winters are sufficiently cold and I'm guessing probably don't deviate from the average too far, but I could be wrong. Summers look nice and hot with some high dew points and cooling rain fall and thunderstorms.

Winter is excellent except the stability, but summer is gross. C-.

Winter is excellent except the stability, but summer is gross. C-. Knowing your preferences, C- is the highest grade I've seen you give for any comparable climates. Likewise, I do appreciate drier climates as well, as long as they aren't too hot in summer or mild in winter (Kyrgyzstan and highland Colorado come to mind).

Winters are too cold and dry. I'll give it a C- because of its epic rainy season, even if it's the opposite of the pattern I prefer.

C-. Slightly worse than Seoul for the cooler lows, but otherwise very much like Seoul. Winters are too cold and dry. Spring and Fall are pretty nice. Summer is nice temperature-wise but suffers from too much rain concentrated in July and August.

D. Interesting that average highs in spring months are a tad warmer than Seoul.

C. I like the temperature patterns but would like to see opposite precip patterns.

C+. About as good a grade a climate with winters as cold as this can get.

E- Deplorable continental trash. Saved it from F because of pleasant May, June and September.

F+, horrific cold dry winter and decent summer temps ruined by the extreme monsoon. The decent spring saves it from even worse grades.

Good climate, almost great if it wasn't for the lopsided rainfall pattern. As it stands it's an A-. Take some of that summer rain and cloudiness and put it in winter and you've got yourself one of the best climates on Earth.

One would think maybe that there is some decent variation and that maybe some years would see less rainy summers and wetter/snowier winters. I don't think that's the case though. Summer precip there is so robust and likewise the lack of winter precip. I'd guess a slightly wetter winter is more likely than a drier summer though but I haven't looked at the data to confirm it.

Rain and clouds in winter means consecutive days of drizzle and lack of sunlight. Rain in summer means sunny weather with an afternoon storm. Plus, the sun angle in summer is much higher so overcast days wouldn’t be as dark as they would in winter.

A wetter winter would mean a good deal more snow. I enjoy gloom in winter, 150-hour winter months feel alien to me. Ofc at those temps I wouldn't mind more sun than in, say, Paris, but the low 100s hours would be sufficient. As for summer, 144 hours is very cloudy to my tastes regardless of precip.
