Manali is located in the Himalayas of Northern India and has a subtropical highland climate with Indian monsoon-like patterns. It's similar to Shimla but with warmer summers. How would you rate it? B for me. It's on the cool side, especially the lows, but good overall. July and August are too wet. Note: Not a subtropical polar arctic climate as stated in the poll. That was from an error in the Wikipedia page resulting in a much colder climate when I originally saw it.As usual, please rate fairly and without considering non-climatic factors such as pollution.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manali,_Himachal_Pradesh#Climate <iframe width="27.319999999999936" height="6.9599999999999795" style="position: absolute; width: 27.319999999999936px; height: 6.9599999999999795px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 5px; top: 181px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_81140385" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="27.319999999999936" height="6.9599999999999795" style="position: absolute; width: 27.32px; height: 6.96px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1293px; top: 181px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_69820325" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="27.319999999999936" height="6.9599999999999795" style="position: absolute; width: 27.32px; height: 6.96px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 5px; top: 471px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_16637317" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="27.319999999999936" height="6.9599999999999795" style="position: absolute; width: 27.32px; height: 6.96px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1293px; top: 471px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_66273298" scrolling="no"></iframe>

+11/-13 in January with 100mm rainfall? What??? I don't know how to rate this, I have never seen a climate with similar ranges. Does it snow a lot? Nights are too cold, some months are too wet but rainy days are good. I'll give it a C because I don't know what grade to use. There is no way this climate box is correct, the diurnal range is too big and record lows are too close to average.
Edit: Here is the wiki box as of December 2 2018. Someone changed it December 18th.

I also thought it was a weird climate and probably had inaccurate records, but I didn't find the actual stats. I updated my first post with the new climate and I edited Wikipedia as well. That would also take the grade up to a B.

D+. Too mild and stable. Itβs too wet but at least rain days are low and thereβs probably some good thunderstorms, also not snowy enough.

C+
Good summers but they are a bit long. Winters are too warm but not too bad for where it is I guess.

Grade B-. Monsoon season isn't actually too bad for Indian climate.

D. Would've been C- if it wasn't too wet actually.
It's like a wetter Cooma NSW

B+. This is actually really good, seems to snow a decent amount. Only issues are late winter could be drier and itβs too stable.
