Fitzroy Crossing is in record territory with that 47°C. The highest ever is 47.9°C in January 1969, but who knows, next Thursday could break that.

Damnnnn When you’re stuck in overcast cold Western European winters those forecasts are depressing.. I have to move somewhere like that later in life The problem is all of those places are nothing but tiny abo outposts where you can't even buy goon bags. There is Queensland, but like SA, they ban the sale of alcohol in ALDI and Costo and other supermarkets. However, they still do have the big box bottle shops. In the NT goon bags are banned, but Darwin does have a good climate with a fuck ton of storms in the area in the wet season. And the speed limit is 130km/h on 2 lane roads with much more lenient fines than here for speeding. Yeah the locations could be better if they weren’t in the middle of nowhere and like you said alcohol laws suck there. I liked Queensland except for its dumbass time zone and fucking weird people. Jeez I remember stopping at Rockhampton and Townsville which was a sore sight.. I bet those areas in the western coast are beautiful though. Untouched coast with amazing climates

God have mercy in the heart of Mesopotamia, one of the oldest civilizations on Earth. Imagine living there without A/C like people there used to.

Might not be the Persian Gulf by any means, but Port-au-Prince, Haiti is a surprisingly hot place. Keep in mind that the DPs are about 75ºF during the daily high. The heat indexes here probably match those of Phoenix, AZ.

Nearby Nunkini is slightly hotter. Record high for Merida is 109F in April (all time as well).
