A mix of all the Chinese climate types. Located at 36N north-west of Xi'an, this city experiences the mix of the cloud to the south and the sun to the north. The rain and endless drizzle to the south and much drier steppe to the north.
Winter: Actually the sunniest and driest season similar to the northern areas, high pressure dominates and fog is most likely a regular occurence.
Spring: Quickly warms up with sunshine staying put and rain getting more frequent, although still light in quantity.
Summer: Hot, humid, cloudy and unstable; although at least the diurnals are decent and thunderstorms are likely.
Autumn: A very quick drop in temperatures, crisper weather but quite cloudy.
Personally I give this a C-, poor winters and cloudy skies make up most of the negatives. The positives are a good April-October period, decent rainfall between March-October and the summer diurnals that make the season feel a bit more dynamic than southern-chinese cities.
