snj90 , the full album, only instrumental. Sounds like a sort of symphony, but on LSD.

Strewthless That's pretty cool. Not as nice as with vocals, though. Sgt. Pepper's was always my favorite Beatles album.

Just thought I'd show it to you since the copyright police are likely to zap it before long. Revolver is my favourite, followed by Abbey Road and Rubber Soul. I like Sgt Pepper, but feel they made a big mistake by omitting Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane from the album.

It was in 2018 that all the Beatles song were made available again on Youtube. They were all on Youtube up until sometime in the early 2010s, from what I recall, but then they all got taken down. But it looks like I can still find most of their songs now.
I distinctly remember liking Sgt. Pepper's when I first got the CD in the spring or summer of 2002. I listened to it a lot that summer, and it still takes me back. So it was my favorite album since I was 12 years old. I just always found it fascinating as a concept album. To the extent that it's a concept album, I feel like you can't add to or delete from it. The antithesis of that is the White Album, which is a complete hodgepodge. It has some good songs on it, but it can't beat Sgt. Pepper's.

The official uploads that went up in 2018 are up there forever now. That's what alowed me to access their stuff properly. Paul McCartney only recently won back the rights to the full catalogue, which took him years decades to acquire. Seems like Revolver was always overlooked in the US for various reasons. Musically it was every bit as experimental as Pepper, albeit without some kind of theme, and was as diverse as the White Album without the inconsistent quality of music.

Great album. I recall this making a bit of a buzz at the time due to it being a pay what you want release. No set price, you decided what it was worth. It could have been a penny or £100. Not sure how it worked out for them financially, but a lot of people bought into the idea, as it sold really well.

The first album I heard of Pink Floyd as it was the only rock album in my parents' record collection besides Elvis' greatest hits. Admittedly not their best, pretty much Gilmour's 3rd solo album.
