Yeah, Strewthless - easily one of my favorite Beatles albums. I can't bear to listen to "No Reply" for rather personal reasons, but it does fit in with the lugubrious theme you touched upon, along with tracks such as I'm a Loser, Baby's in Black, I'll Follow the Sun, I Don't Want to Spoil the Party, What You're Doing.
