I like Atlanta's variety but the summers are too hot and humid so I'll go with San Diego.

Atlanta for being more interesting, and actually having summers.

Atlanta, which I always perceived as being warmer than that. San Diego is a suicide climate.

Atlanta, easily. It's far more interesting than San Diego, with my only complaint being it's too warm.

San Diego by far for being comfortable and sunnier. More outdoor activities for me there.

Where do you live that makes you consider 11'C January average high "cold AF"? It's decidedly chilly, but I wouldn't consider that super-cold by any means; that's about what my record highs are for individual dates in the winter!

LOL! Well I don't like cold but as I said, it's by mild by upper midwest standards. ATL, like most of the inland AND coastal south (even down to Miami) are subject to arctic blasts that bring in 25+ degree abnormalities. Yeah ATL maybe be in the low-50s for highs and low-to-mid 30's for lows in January but you expect an unstable winter with the temps most winters here in the Southeast. ATL, like Raleigh, Charlotte, Richmond, or even Jackson and Birmingham, can easily drop to the teens (and even single digits depending how that jet stream wanna act) at times a few times a winter. Orlando FL gets a freeze every year. Much of central Florida got into the 30's (some 20's) for lows this past week.
