Current tournament progress: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- tij and I have discussed the idea of a dream climate tournament. This is how it will work: Note that this is what I am thinking of now. I may change stuff in the future if necessary. Everyone can post their dream climate here to sign up for the tournament. When I see that submissions are declining, I will post a deadline for submissions. When the deadline comes, the climates would be paired randomly in a single-elimination knockout fashion. I will use generate the bracket using an online tournament bracket generator. Some climates may need 1st round byes. Maybe 5 pairings or so can be done at the same time. The winner of each pairing will be determined by voting. Each voting session will last a set amount of time (maybe 5 days or so?). Whenever there is a tie, the next person to vote will immediately decide the winner. I think I'll also create a vote for 3rd place along with the finals. All posts related to this dream climate tournament will take place in this thread.I think this will be fun and interesting. Let's start the signups. Here's mine:

I nominate Foothillopolis as my dream climate: I thought you would want wetter and/or cooler summers...

Uhm... well, more than a dream climate proper I have a dream climate range stretching from similar to Baba's to this: I'll enter that one anyway. So long as summer means are 20°C or thereabouts I'm perfectly happy regardless of whether it's 25/15 or 29/11.

No point. Everybody hates mine I think you should, but I feel you. You know I'd vote for yours.

Entering old faithful. If I were to vote for a dream climate apart from my own, this would be it; almost an A rating. On second thoughts, Steelernation's might very well steal my vote.

No point. Everybody hates mine Not true (referring to your 60/77 one here)! It's very pleasant, but I'd prefer a bit more dynamic weather. You could try entering one of your four seasonal ones.

Fine, I'll enter with albeit not my actual dream climate but the perfect 4 seasonal climate that some people would actually enjoy.

I suggest you enter your actual dream climate to better model the variety of dream climates we have.

Fine @qidb602 What isn't shown is that the average minimum high for the months are like 21-22'C, so basically it's slightly cooler than average for 80% of the days with the rest being like 28-32'C, so bipolar in that way. Also, despite the narrow diurnal range, it's got relatively low humidity at only like 15'C DP. Yes, this isn't a very realistic climate. I also made this in like 10 minutes, and I would probably edit the lows to be cooler by a couple of degrees in the winter but I can't be bothered right now because I don't care much.
