tij and I have discussed the idea of a dream climate tournament. This is how it will work:
Note that this is what I am thinking of now. I may change stuff in the future if necessary.
Everyone can post their dream climate here to sign up for the tournament. When I see that submissions are declining, I will post a deadline for submissions. When the deadline comes, the climates would be paired randomly in a single-elimination knockout fashion. I will use generate the bracket using an online tournament bracket generator. Some climates may need 1st round byes. Maybe 5 pairings or so can be done at the same time. The winner of each pairing will be determined by voting. Each voting session will last a set amount of time (maybe 5 days or so?). Whenever there is a tie, the next person to vote will immediately decide the winner. I think I'll also create a vote for 3rd place along with the finals. All posts related to this dream climate tournament will take place in this thread.
I think this will be fun and interesting. Let's start the signups.
