The forum's least popular dream climate, back again! I'm triggered. I had hopes that you had changed it a bit. Actually, I can go edit it a bit...it's a bit outdated, from March 2017, when KC was at the peak of its "snow could not fall here even during a nuclear winter" phase. Give me a bit of time.

Okay, I retouched my dream climate. Added a little cooler lows in the winter, and colder record lows as well as mean minimums in the "summer".
What is this shit? Boke. That is a tropical rainforest ( Af) climate according to everyone's favourite drunk Russian...

When will this tournament take place @qidb602 ? Yeah I'm about to announce the time since there were no signups for the last few days. Would have announced it later today or tomorrow if you didn't remind me. Signups will end on Sunday, June 16 at 11:59 pm GMT. Voting will start as soon as I generate the pairings after the deadline passes. So for tij, Cadeau, etc. you have until this time to post your dream climate to sign up. I think I'll do 4-5 pairings for each voting session and end each voting session at the same time each week. If tiebreaks are necessary, the next voting session won't start until the tie(s) are broken.

I think I will submit a tentative light version of mine now before I submit the full detailled version by the deadline stated @qidb602 (with basic info like temps, precip, snowfall, sun, and records)

In which I drop the precipitation slightly after realizing it was slightly high, as well as switching from sun hours to sun % as an attempt to better reflect my actual intent for the feel of the climate. The sun hours, especially in summer, were wildly inaccurate. Better Ariete?

It's exactly the same!

I just said I made it drier. And made the summers much sunnier.
Cosmetic changes, 3 inches of less rainfall doesn't change anything. And those sunshine percentages say nothing to me, because the old version didn't have them.
You literally gave a Venezuelan a few rolls of toilet paper and said that "look, everything's changed". No, the Venezuelan is still fucked.

Dear Lord, spare me from this abomination.

sari How do you rationalize those 2F diurnals with so much overcast and drizzle?

sari think it'd be nice to avoid harsh frosts in summer to enable plant life. Also perhaps glance at sky valley ga for some construction guidance, even if your temps are going to be different, it's a favorite of mine.

knot The number of sun hours I had entered would have resulted in roughly 21% sunshine, which is far lower than I intended it to be. AJ1013 I assume you mean 20F. Cloudy days, clear nights. Insert lake-effect phenomenon/land-breeze something/etc here. tij So you've caught where I stole the name from! Frosts in summer are rare, the record lows are exceptional events. Most summers don't drop below about 37F. It's not meant to have any connection to the town in Georgia. I just liked the way the name sounded, and that it fit the geography of the dream climate (a high valley).

sari that's good to hear, there could be gorgeous vegetation there like alpine Colorado (from visiting RMNP)! Just mentioned it since it was one I was really fond of and used structural elements from it, I've envisioned mine as a mountain town as well, but it could be something in the foothills more like Grenoble or Asheville, as my climate better matches to places there rather than those high in the mountains like yours does.
