5. AJ1013 - Far from ideal but still classified as Cfb. Summer is not that much worse relatively compared to crunch's while winter difference shows an obvious winner. 6. Nei - At least cooler lows offer some relief during the morning hours and assuming Nei's place located farther from the Equator. 7. Cadeau - SUPERIOR PROPER OCEANIC CLIMATE. 8. Lommaren - If Lommie set 5°C lower average highs over the year, it may look surprisingly close to mine.

3. Again real tight but tie-breaker by my scary thunder encounter yesterday, sorry Angler... it just reminded me of how lethal his climate would be for outdoors activities... Such a phenomenon called thunderstorm and lightning doesn't exist on my planet. You're welcome to visit here anytime

Such a phenomenon called thunderstorm and lightning doesn't exist on my planet. You're welcome to visit here anytime It could potentially be fucken epic to view, had I looked out of a bunker window instead of hiding beneath an external roof in the middle of a rather violent cell. At least it's not Florida or Virginia, so well, well It's all about the context, bro...

1. crunch41 - by a good bit. His climate is one of the most similar to my ideal, ajs isn't bad though
2. Nei - by far. I dislike both but babas is atrocious
3. Anglers by far - snowier and colder. Summer is too hot but cadeau doesn't have a real winter
4. Lommaren. Both are bad IMO but noodles would be unbearable to me

1. Mine obviously.
2. Nei-I choose seasons.
3. Begrudgingly AW. Cadeaus is the climste equivalent of cold oatmeal.
4. Lommaren (snowfall stats are impossible though)

1. Mine obviously. 2. Nei-I choose seasons. 3. Begrudgingly AW. Cadeaus is the climste equivalent of cold oatmeal. 4. Lommaren ( snowfall stats are impossible though) On Earth yes, there are no climates like that, but on that planet with warmer upper latitudes ensuring averages like these are possible at 45°N like this one is at, then no. One snow day per winter month, with unstable winter temps with the mediterranean precipitation pattern and that means 10 mm of precipitation on the average winter day or so can turn into more than 10 cm of snow, also because north-westerlies from the polar regions can bring the total up. On Earth it would probably be around 10 cm annually due to the mild nature of low-pressure systems on the required lower latitude.
Winter highs in a week may look like this: 18-17-5-2-18-19-18. Lows then are like: 6, 5, -3, -4, 7, 7, 7. -1°C to 5°C highs happen six times on average every January and February and five times every December. In other words, the median day is warmer than the average, more like 17°C, but the cold extremes through the poleward wind direction is always a factor, unlike stable climates on Earth with similar averages. Daytime highs between 5°C and 14°C are not too common, courtesy of the warm and cold air masses battling it out in winter and one always coming out on top.

Well, dream climates do change a bit sometimes, especially in close to three years jgtheone I'd cut precipitation for winter a bit had my climate had zero prospects for snow, but as it is, it'd look silly if I cut it but kept the snowfall so it is what it is. As long as you stick to it! It is a nice climate.

As long as you stick to it! It is a nice climate. Well, I'm rather flexible compared to what my dream climate would be: it sort of comes with the territory of enduring 28 Swedish Novembers that "anything goes" Of course, on Earth as a realistic climate, it would've had a touch warmer winters since I could've kissed the snowfall prospects goodbye but 27/13 summers are as good as anything!

If I was being bound by earthly logic this is more or less how Österhydda would've looked like, the current winter median becomes the normal instead and winter rainfall is reduced to make it a hybrid between a mediterranean and a maritime climate jgtheone . However, it's not as good as the fantasy planet Österhydda, since it receives less snow and also would have a stronger UV. So, I'd vote for the fantasy one over the possible earth one. The earthly one would need a rain shadow in winter and a less pronounced drought in summer than in California. Slightly warmer sea currents might make it happen? Say a mix between Californian waters and Portuguese waters? What I meant to say either way is; I don't care for cold air at all if it doesn't bring snow. Love snow, hate the pointless no-snow cold!

aj nei angler lom
edit with explanation later
Edit: The edit as promised!
5. Clearstown is just generally a bit warm for me, but the snowfall and variability are good. Crunch41's winters are too cold and dry.
6. Neipolis isn't an infinite loop. Next...
7. Metropolitan Area, while inoffensive, is also dull. Blowering Creek is a bit intense for me, but surely with no shortage of excitement! I'm really curious if a climate like it exists somewhere. A temperature profile like it surely exists in southwestern North America, and Japan probably has the snowfall, and isn't too far off on temperatures, but matching those up with the precipitation would be difficult.
8. Cooler and wetter summers and likely more "wintry" winters make Österhydda the easy choice.

1. AJ for warmer temps and more precip. 2. Nei for the seasons. Uniform temps throughout the year would be crap. 3. I guess Angler... Cadeau's is much too boring. 4. Lommaren for cooler winters, though Noodleman's summers are slightly better.

1. AJ1013
crunch's winters are stupid cold; AJ's temperatures are decent though I dislike the record lows in the warm season
2. mine of course
3. Adaminaby Angler
more interesting winters and nice but not extreme summers; snowfall is too much and again don't like freezes for so long even in summer. Close one but Cadeau's winters are a bland in between temperature
4. Lommaren
noodle's climate is too hot; Lommaren's looks pleasant
