I worked here from late July to the end of September in 2011 at a salmon hatchery doing various things like slitting female salmon bellies to harvest their eggs, jacking off the males, cutting/sawing metal/PVC pipes in an old building, climbing into fishing vessels for various reasons, burning shit, and replacing all the wooden planks on the dock. Some Filipino guy fell through one of the spaces without a plank and nearly fell into the water which about 40 feet below but he was able to get up without my help. Besides last fall in Vancouver, it was definitely the most extreme wet season I've ever experienced and I didn't even see out the winter there. September was nonstop heavy rain and strong winds almost every day, which I welcomed because the bugs were swarming pretty bad in early August. Unfortunately, the stats from WRCC don't have record highs and lows but I'll give this a C rating since thunderstorms are very rare to non-existent and it's very oceanic overall. Some pics:

Cβ; washed-out crummers, with an absolutely dreadful snowfall:rainfall ratioβespecially with those polar winter averages! Freezing rain can go to buggery.

F, with the added pleasure of jacking off fish. Kill me now.

A bad climate. Way too oceanic, and winter gets too much cold rain. D-

Ah near Montague island I see. I'll go C. I don't despise it, but summers are a little chilly. Winters aren't cold enough. And that's just too much rain

Quite bad indeed. Even more depressing than here. But not as grotesque as other parts of Alaska like Nome, Gambell and Barrow. I'm amazed that people actually want to live there.

E. Wonder if mosquitoes exist in this climate.

E. Wonder if mosquitoes exist in this climate. They were pretty bad in July/August before the wet season arrived.

No love for this one: F.
Temperatures and snowfall alone would mean E- but the cold rain really messes up even the miniscule redeeming features of this horror-show.

Detestable. The worst in the world. Even Yakutsk and Dallol are better.

E-, at least there would be a few cool, sunny days in summer
