Mountain City is located in the far NE corner of Georgia in the Blue Ridge Mountains at about 2000' elevation, bringing cooler temperatures than the lowland parts of Georgia and South Carolina. Mountain City has characteristics of both humid subtropical and humid continental climates. Mountain City has very high precipitation evenly distributed throughout the year, with 73.36" or 1862mm. This area also sees about 50-55 thunderstorm days per year according to the NWS thunderstorm map. I rate it an A-, fuckaaaan, and consider it to be the best climate in the US South that I know of.

D-. Temps arenβt too bad but precipitation is disgusting. At least thereβs probably some good storms and not just heavy, all day rain.

Tough one. Initially thought of a B, but the excessive rainfall drops it down to a C+. Record highs in winter are awful, and the winters way too warm.

Very similar to Asheville, it's a B+ from me though since I feel the precip would be a bit excessive, but I'd find the temperate rainforest vegetation there to be fascinating.

Asheville is a B-, this is a C because it's too wet. Still better than the hot parts of the South.

C-/D+. Diurnal ranges and precipitation are far from ideal than Asheville.
