Also, how in the world is Masset "polar"? It's annual mean is 46F which is about the same as mine. Not even close to polar

Terrace sunshine is probably underestimated as mountains block low-angled sun. Seems unlikely its sunshine would be that low since it's not right on the coast nor extremely wet.
