I guess to very few people's surprise, San Jose (A+) has my vote over the C of Reims. That being said, I'm curious to see what the outcome will be. San Jose has probably lower-end of 3,000 sunshine hours annually.

San Jose by far, but I doubt it has 3000 sun hours unless if you use US standards.

San Jose by far, but I doubt it has 3000 sun hours unless if you use US standards. It's more shielded from coastal fog than San Fran, though?

Reims is more interesting, I used to really like climates like it but have now moved further south in france to Grenoble/Valence etc for more summer heat. San JosΓ© has better summers for me but feel it is too monotonous year round, Reims definitely has better winters though, but the slow warm up and the coolish summer would irritate me. I'm in the mood for San JosΓ© now, being frustrated at summer here, but maybe could change my mind later. Maybe Reims in 2050 or so.
Think Reims winters + san josΓ© summers (maybe with a bit more rain) would make a fine climate though, with means near my ideal but a bit lower diurnal ranges than mine.
Edit: I shifted back to Reims, think i'll go with it, maybe with a vacation to southern france if summer is poor.

Reims for better seasonal variety and precipitation distribution, also likely less stable (more thunderstorms). And though it is certainly a bit on the gloomy side for my liking, San Jose's sunshine hours would almost certainly be too sunny.

Reims... What kind of poll is this? A Hartfordd kinda poll! For once I choose the French locale. The US just doesn't know how to do proper med climates, lowland CA is a fucking borefest. Fun tidbit: Reims had a -15Β°C high back in 1985, along with 4 lows in the -20s. Fun month: en.tutiempo.net/climate/01-1985/ws-70700.html
