AJ1013 's favorite beatles song AJ doesn't mind taxes so long as they're spent on making roads wider for his gas guzzler. As an aside, Sunny Afternoon by The Kinks was also written to protest against the same UK tax policy, 95% for high earners!

nei , I've just posted that song alright a 60s pulp fiction song you haven't posted; awesome melody and fits the movie QT has a great taste in music. Often wondered when Pulp Fiction was set, looked like the 90's but with lots of fashion and cultural references from the 50's, 60's & 70's.

best American 60s bands? ignoring soloists, going by personal taste + who seemed to have good music & be original even if not quite my thing. Skipping black r&b bands since I'm less familiar with them, maybe biased towards ones associated more with 60s counterculture. Temptations, Supremes should make the list if I included r&b / soul music 1) Beach Boys 2) Jimi Hendrix (he still had a band, his style was more like a British blues band than most American acts) 3) Credence Clearwater Revival 4) The Doors 5) Byrds 6) Love 7) Crosby Stills & Nash (both them and the Byrds are rather dated in their counterculture style but still were very good) also maybe: Jefferson Airplane, Velvet Underground and Frank Zappa and Mothers of Invention who do you think I missed Strewthless any undeserved ones?

The Jimmy Hendrix experience sounded British because his supporting band were British, they were put together to support Hendrix. Do Simon and Garfunkel qualify? The Stooges were also pretty good. The Monkees had a lot of hits but were a manufactured group who had songs written for them.

classic anti-revolutionary song. Bob Dylan, posting the Byrds cover for the better melody
A self-ordained professor's tongue too serious to fool Spouted out that liberty is just equality in school "Equality, " I spoke the word as if a wedding vow Ah, but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now

good song; lol @ these hippies Yahya Sinwar commentator on the YouTube video When Canned Heat started to play, a nude dude started dancing through the crowd. He was terribly sun burned and high as a kite. I will always remember that.

Don't let anyone tell you Ringo was a bad drummer.
Kinda sounds like an Oasis song. They were originally called The Rain.

You might know the song from Corona beverage commercials within the past few years, but Pete Rodriguez sang this song back in 1967.

I knew Radiohead's "Karma Police" sounded familiar...
Built around a very similar piano melody, both great songs nonetheless.
