If there was only one thing you could change about Lima's climate, whilst keeping everything else about it the same, what would you modify? Lima

Rainfall. Lots of rainfall, preferably heavy with thunderstorms. Dry overcast is lame, might as well put all the clouds to some good use.

Cloudy days with mild temps at 12S aren't that dreary so I'll go with more rain.

Virtually a tie between sun and rain. Both are insanely low, I'd fancy at least 1,000 more sunshine hours and 300 mm more of rain. I don't know which one is the most to ask for.
I vote sun, either way, at least I could plan my bike rides if it's that dry!

Colder WintersHow much can we decrease the winter temps by, however? trolik It's basically as cold as you can go for its latitude at 12°S, however, even on the African west coast it's way warmer. I'd really struggle to see how it could be cooled down. Maybe 1-2°C in the event of a colder period for the planet in general?

Realistically you can't get more rain or more sun there either given the geography. So I'd say it could be as cold as you want but trolik should decide. Continental drift might make it colder, although it would also change the latitude even if precip and sun stays the same.

I think it's easier to imagine high-pressure sunshine or warmer ocean waters bringing precipitation up under global warming, rather than the winters being able to get cooler with such strong UV radiation.

Now, brace yourselves for Angler's even more improved Lima! nah thats an even worse version of lima's climate, I'm assuming snowfall is heavy? edit: actually to make it fair it'd have to be a dry winter.

For me, I could get used to no rain even though it would be very very hard, but the sun there, especially in winter, is utterly despicable, much worse than London's which is already disgusting, so I'd have to choose way way more sun to stop me from getting SAD.

Definitely rainfall. Sunshine there isn't too bad, at tropical latitudes I prefer overcast weather. And winters without any precipitation are quite worthless, the temperatures are pleasant enough anyway.
