Not bad in either place. Aachen's weather station is about 100 m higher than the city centre. Even accounting for that it's still a good chunk colder than at home.

mildly above average except for a cool week near the end of August. Much better than July, not much intense heat though there was a muggy stretch mid-August  rain average temperature: 82.6°F / 68.5°F (high / low); 0.3°F above average total precipitation 3.70 inches; 0.74 inches drier than usual number of rain days ≥ 0.1 inches = 6 average sky cover 30% (19 clear, 11 partly cloudy, 1 cloudy) days with thunder: 5 |

Bodø Airport so far this year. Infoclimat not a perfect source, but this seems not to bad. The 30.7C is new all-time high at this airport which sits at a peninsula protruding into the Norwegian Sea, a rather windy location. Bodø has ~50,000 inhabitants, second largest in Norway north of the Arctic Circle. Coldest low only -12.9c.
