Grampians, VIC (Mt. William)Elevated by 1,150 m AMSL and situated at 37° 18' S in South-Western VIC, well-exposed before the windward teeth of the Roaring Forties, the Grampians are sure to send a few chills down the spine of any gloom-hater! Especially considering that this is mainland Australia we're talking about—25.9 precipitation days in July; 211.4 annually: Location: Snowfall is heavy and frequent, likewise; summers extremely variable, too with occasional snow flurries. Aberfeldy, VIC (1,060 m and much drier) averages 32.5 snowy days annually, so it can be adequately estimated that Mt. William would average in the order of ~55 snowy days per annum, considering the tremendous amount of precipitation days by comparison to Aberfeldy. I'll award it a B+; doesn't quite make the A range due to painful stability and gloominess in winter, but its snowfall makes up for it, and its summers are epically variable. Keep in mind that averages merely span 2005-2019, so the records may be subdued by the narrow reference period—farther accentuated by the fact that it lay astride a ridgy escarpment, as opposed to a flat tableland (i.e. no possiblity of temperature inversion).

F. Shit crummers, too many rain days and probably cloudy as fuck. Cold wet skin penetrating wank 90% of the year. And Renmark recorded a low 1.6C colder this year than this highly elevated place's all time record!!!

I'll give it a D. Below average climate, summers and winters are both not substantial enough, way too fucking stable. I mean seriously, a -4.1 C record low with a 0.9 C average low in July?! That's horrific.
It looks like it can get some good snowfall though and maybe some storms in summer so that saves it from an E/F.

Better than Ireland or Scotland at least, D+ I guess?

C+ or C.
Summers look interesting and pleasant but those winters are dreadful. The winter record lows are pathetically warm.
With slightly better winters this would be a much better climate.

Average temperatures are a B, but the lack of extreme temperatures drops to a B-, and the excessive rain days and gloom drops to C-.

On second thought, I'm gonna downgrade this shithole to a D+.

On second thought, I'm gonna downgrade this shithole to a D+. Too reminiscent of Van for your liking? Yup. The summers are the only decent part of this climate. Unlike Grytviken, winter here would have a lot of sloppy wet snow.

D. Weak temperatures and way too much rain, especially in the winter.

C-
Not a proper four seasons climate. But it's nice it gets some snow and yet has a decent enough summer. Though a bit cold..
