The Juan Fernández Islands are an archipelago 600-800 km off the coast of Chile. It's about the same latitude as Santiago which would make it semi-arid or close to semi-arid if it were not surrounded by water, but due to being far from the coast it's a fairly wet and mild climate. It's a wetter and slightly warmer version of San Francisco. It's probably pretty windy as well. I give it a C-. I like the warmer summer nights compared to San Francisco. I don't like the lower sunshine and the inability to get very warm. Anyways summers are anemic of course and winters could be a little bit stronger as well. Also it has a lot of rain days. 183 per year at least 0.1 mm which is probably a bit more than here.

F+, terrible. The only thing that saves it from an F- is the nice amount of rainfall, otherwise this is a very bad climate.

I'll give it a D, fairly inoffensive, but could do with being a bit warmer. Coincidentally I have a palm growing in my garden in Southsea which is native to this Island, Juania australis. They are a rare & tricky palm that has been tried around the world but the only places where mature specimens grow are San Francisco, New Zealand & Dublin Ireland (yes you read that correctly). So that should give you an indication of the climate there.

This is the one in Dublin in 2016 And info about the palm & the garden where it grows: Juania australis at Earlscliffe Garden Ireland

D. Too cool, monotonous, and boring year round, and much too wet in the winter for my liking. Temperatures are comfortable and sunshine is decent, I'll give it that, but otherwise a very lacklustre climate.

The epitome of an F+ climate. I'd take many hotter climates over this shithole. That said, 3C is a pretty impressive low for such a climate!

Tolerable but boring. C+ Winter has too many rainy days and temperatures are way too stable and seasonless. If there is a lot of variation in wind speed that would help, since it's about the only interesting weather this place would see.

Perfect precipitation pattern, but could use some more continentality. B.

This climate is too humid, has too cloudy of winters, and not very balanced of precipitation patterns, so probably B-

Mmmmm abut a C- / D+. I had a quick look at Lord Howe Island for something similar in AU waters and similar latitude 33*S and 31*S. Lord Howe way better.
