Hi again! I have been crunching some numbers for a weighted average climate for all the world's metros greater than 1 million. There are 578 of them and found the weighted average climate that people in urban settings live in on our planet. It looks like it is a Subtropical Cfa climate. The stats are: Average temp in coldest month is 11.0C Average temp in warmest month is 26.6C Average yearly temp is 19.1C Average precipitation in driest month is 24mm Average precipitation in wettest month is 207mm Average total precipitation is 1088mm
This should show that an an average person in this world does not experience a 4 season climate but more of a 2 season climate with a cooler season. It also explains why there aren't many large cities in sub polar and polar areas as most humans don't prefer that. Anyway, it was interesting to figure out the numbers and looking forward to hearing other thoughts on this.

Welcome back! Anyway, this is an interesting post that shows how majority of population does not live in a 4-season climate.

Welcome back to the forum, hope you'll stick around!
Very interesting results, and more or less on point with what I would've expected. Continental climates are definitely not the norm around the world.
