Oh, I remember you saying that about Queen, but Pink Floyd and David Bowie too?
Pink Floyd is probably my favorite rock band, I prefer progressive rock overall.

Sorry if I have already posted this in the past, but it's just so damn good! -snip- It's also not an 80's song. It came out on 29 March 1979 and was already off the US charts before 1980 rolled around. I will agree it's a good song, though.

Think I've unearthed a gem here. Weird that this wasn't a big hit. One of the best songs by possibly the biggest band at the time. rozenn , French TV again! The lead singer has a French surname, it must be very rare, le Bon, which means "The Happy?". He has some distant Huguenot ancestor according to Wikipedia.

Lmao thought Ordinary World was from the 80s! 1992. Lead single from their second self-titled album, often referred to as "The Wedding Album" or "Duran Duran '93" to distinguish from their 1981 self-titled album.

Must already have been posted in this very thread, but I guess it's worth a repost: Ah, I thought that because of 'bon anniversaire'. I assumed bon = happy. I actually learned French and have some French family but I'm hopeless at it It must be a rare surname? I've seen quite a lot of French surnames, yet I've only seen 'Le Bon' once.

Lmao thought Ordinary World was from the 80s! 1993, they're so strongly associated with the 80's that a lot of people forget that they had some hits in the early/mid-90's. Come Undone is also a good song from the same period.

Makes sense actually! We also say "joyeux anniversaire" (= happy b'day). As for that surname being rare I dunno, but it's not as common as, say, Martin. The only other person I can think of that has the same surname is this Canadian gal, Charlotte Le Bon.

Those power ballads from the late 80s and early 90s were awesome.
