In the 10's year round with abundant rainfall or a dry, mild desert climate with a LOT of sun?
For me, it's definitely Calama. Greymouth is liveable but miserable.

I choose Calama for being comfortable, drier and very sunny, even though the nights are too cold year-round. Greymouth is a horrid climate with endless cold gloom and is rarely warm.

Calama by far. Greymouth is an F-, heavy cold rain every other day is fucking miserable. Calama is boring but it’s extremely comfortable and the cold nights are interesting at least.

G.R.E.Y.M.O.U.T.H.
Superior by every measure; more variation, more precipitation, more frontal activity, etc.
Calama is a suicidal heap of rubbish, especially for a grazier like myself.

Really hard choice but I regrettably gotta go with Greymouth. Calama is just too warm, dry and sunny. Other than that, it's better than Greymouth in every way. Not enough though!

Calama. Greymouth is too wet for me. Both are bad.
Greymouth is more livable. Where do you get water, or grow food, in a climate like Calama? For climate battles I don't consider this but in real life I'd choose Greymouth.

Calama.
Hokitika just down the road from Greymouth is better - wetter and sunnier.

GAYmouth as a climate because it actually gets water, the essence of life. Although Calama is probably nicer to live in with irrigation and whatnot.

Greymouth. Although I dislike the small diurnal range, I want to live in a place where the grass is green.

Calama. It's relatively comfortable overall, and high diurnal ranges mean you can experience summer and winter the same day. Too sunny and dry though.
