There seems to be a lot of expectation on Woods next week. Is it pure hype or is his game currently adequate to mount a challenge? He’s finished 12th, 2nd, and 5th in his last 3 tournaments (with a field of 150-156 in each) so yeah, his game is there. I’ll be rooting for my man Phil though. |

Looks like nasty cold , overcast, stratocrapulus and rainy weather in Augusta both days this,weekend. Lame. It's nicer to watch when it's springlike and sunny. Save these conditions for the British Open

Always thought Rory was overrated myself, but a career grand slam will certainly shut me up for a while.

Always thought Rory was overrated myself, but a career grand slam will certainly shut me up for a while. I actually played one of the courses he won in Major tournament play (2012 PGA championship). Kiawah Island ocean course when I was in South Carolina Usually I just watch golf nowadays. My dad is an avid and occasionally competes in tournaments |

Damn, he's just missed out on a share of the course record!
He started nine shots back, there have been bigger comebacks and bigger swings on the last day in majors before but IIRC only when the other guy's completely blown it, Reed's held on better than I thought he might do.

Oh right, didn't know the record for the Masters but I remember Paul Lawrie winning the Open from 10 shots back once. Looks like the record's safe for another year anyway. I used to watch a lot of golf back when Tiger was so dominant and I lived at my parents' place with Sky TV, now pretty much all I have the time for is the Masters and the Ryder Cup - would still love to actually go to one of them one day. |
