**FLOOD ADVISORY**
A flood advisory is in effect for Winter Haven from 3 AM Monday morning until 9 AM Tuesday morning.
A strong low pressure system is affecting the Winter Haven battering the area with heavy rain and strong winds and warm temperatures. This combination will lead to significant flooding due to the deep snow pack that was around before this storm. Use lots of precaution whilst traveling today and tomorrow.
**WIND ADVISORY**
A wind advisory is in effect for Winter Haven from 1 AM Monday morning until 7 AM Thursday morning.
A strong low pressure system will be affecting Winter Haven for the next few days, battering the city with heavy rain and wind on the front side of the storm, and cold, heavy snow and wind on the backside. This low pressure system will at times create sustained winds of 55-60 mph, with wind gusts in the 80-90 mph range. This will cause certain trees to be knocked over and the threat of roof shingles flying off of houses along with other debris that might be flying around. Please use precaution.

11:20 PM
Temp: 52 F (11 C)
Conditions: Rain/Windy
Wind: WSW at 54 mph G 74 mph
Dew Point: 50 F (10 C)
The backside of the storm is drawing in close, so the temperatures are dropping a bit. The warmth and rain has melted what was once a thick snow cover, and has caused significant flooding in many areas. Rain today has totaled 6.19" (155 mm) so far. Temperatures will drop quickly through tomorrow switching rain into snow.
**BLIZZARD WARNING**
The backside of the storm affecting Winter Haven right now is drawing in closer and closer. As it does, it will switch the winds from S/SW to N/NE and usher in severely cold air, switching the rain to heavy snow. Heavy snow for the next couple of days combined with high winds will cause reduced visibility and very low wind chills. The snow will be falling at a rate of 2-5 inches an hour at times. The snow will be heavy to the point where visibility will be near zero, and even at times of lower winds, whiteout conditions will be occurring. Total accumulation from this storm will be 3-4 feet (36-48") in most of the area, with northern outlying areas having a possibility of 5-6 feet of snow (60-72"). Winds will be 40-60 mph sustained with gusts of 75-90 mph. Please use extreme caution if you are out during this storm.

Mostly clear 58 F (14 C) Dew point: 47 F (8 C) Wind: ENE 5 mph
A strong area of high pressure will make its way over Elm River tomorrow before a backdoor cold front slides in from the northeast tomorrow night. Max temps may reach 75 F in warmer valley locales tomorrow, but a new record does not look likely. Tomorrow night's front will bring cooler temperatures and breezy conditions, but the meager moisture associated with it should restrict precipitation to the highest peaks of the Elm Mountains. The cooler air will be short lived as another warm up bring max temps 5 to 10 degrees above normal by Thursday.

Wind: N at 45 mph G 63 mph
Dew Point: -5 F (-21 C)
Wind Chill: -34 F (-37 C)
Snow Depth: 36" (91.4 cm)
38" of snow has fallen today so far, 7" away from a new daily record. The reason the snow depth isn't quite has high than the totals is because there's been lots of drifting due to the wind and the fact that so much rain fell beforehand.
**EXTREME COLD WARNING**
As the blizzard starts moving away from the area, a cold high pressure approaching from the north will bring extremely cold temperatures to the region, temperatures that will be cold even by January standards. Temperatures will be falling to -40 to -45 within the Winter Haven urban regions, and -50 to -60 in the usual rural cold spots and in frost hollows. Please bundle up big time before heading outside. If you can, try and stay inside.
