**DROUGHT WATCH** Last week’s rainfall improved the drought but hot and dry weather will dominate at least the next week and May was still drier than average so it is likely that drought will worsen again. Effects are mostly minor so far, but residents should be aware that it could get worse soon.

6/4: 91/64; Brilliantly sunny morning and early afternoon hours, with a very severe thunderstorm in the afternoon that dropped 3.34" (85 mm) of rain, extreme lightning, produced an F1 tornado, and hail. Peak wind gust was 138 mph (222 kph) during the F1 tornado.

Was quite hot today, high reached 93 F (34 C) and had a strong thunderstorm in the afternoon which dropped 0.97" (25 mm) of rain in just 20 minutes. Dew Point was 76 F (24 C) at the time of the high temp.
Now thunderstorm outflows are cooling off Winter Haven, and the low is predicted at 66 F (19 C).

^ Maybe Winter Haven can send some water to y'all, we have it in abundance right now lol Winter Haven does seem dreadful lately. Could use a few storms though. BTW, when does the Winter Haven May summary come out? I feel like I always ask that, but I do find them interesting. If you tell me the snow to water ratios, I could make you a 2018 weathebox. Would be interesting to see.

Lol, it's no problem, I don't mind you asking that. I know I've been late the last few months with the summary due to a more hectic work schedule.
I'm gonna try my best to do it by tomorrow, I get off early so I'll have more time.
And cool, thanks! I'll try my best to be realistic with the snow to water ratios, lots of dry snow falling so lots of high ratios as well.

Today was another very active day and very hot, high reached 97 F (36 C) with a dew point of 79 F (26 C) at the time, and then a very powerful thunderstorm hit the area dropping intense rain, high winds, very frequent lightning, and even produced a funnel cloud with a peak wind gust of 98 mph (157 kph). Rainfall was measured at 3.00" (76 mm) in only an hour.
Luckily, a relatively dry period is on tap but very hot, with temps above 100 F (38 C) on tap for the next few days.
