Was gonna guess April 20th before I saw this thread, now it's looking like April 5 - 10 is likely.

31st of May - if it's happened before, it can happen again You don't think any of the next 7 days will reach 20c?

5th April is the date. The temperature was 20.4c at 2pm, so might see 21-22c here today. Any takers for the next temp threshold? 25c: 1 May 26.7c/80f: 15 May 30c: 10 June 32.2c/90f: 5 August 35c: 2022
Hottest day of this summer will be 33.9c on 7 August.

You don't think any of the next 7 days will reach 20c? Was just seeing if history might repeat itself. I think Yahya Sinwar would hate it if we had a repeat of 1983 rather than a repeat of 2007.

I think Yahya Sinwar would hate it if we had a repeat of 1983 rather than a repeat of 2007. What date for 2007? The extremely late first 20c in 1983 (31st May) was followed up by the 3rd hottest July on record, and a warm August. April 2007 was the 2nd warmest on record, and was followed up by one of the coldest, wettest and cloudiest summers on record. The first 20c in 2007 also occurred on 5th April.

A difficult choice for you though, as it means you want us to have a very warm April.

First 25c was recorded on 11 April. I've changed my predictions now. 26.7c/80f: 31 May 30c/86f: 5 June 32.2c/90f: N/A Hottest day of the year will be 31c on 10 June. July will not reach 30c and August will not reach 27c.

I think 30C will happen in May, and I think London will see 35C+ at some point during July.
Hopefully I haven't just ruined our summer by saying that.

I think June will be the best month with a few 30c days, but July and August will fail to see a single 30c day between them.

I would have expected it to be cold back then lol The 1940s had some warm summers. 1940, 1947 and 1949 were all good. The 50s-80s were the coldest decades of the 20th century.
