vs Overall pretty similar obviously, though it does reflect some small differences in my climate preference. Mostly how my dream climate is trending a bit cooler but also drier

Tough choice but I will go with the 2019 version for being drier, but damn, December 2018 on Jacarandopolis was awfully boring and hyperstable.

2018 edges it out slightly for the warmer overall summer

2019; drier, more variable summers; colder winters.

2019 with ease. Better summers and fewer single-digit days.

2018 for the better summer and probable more thunderstorms. WTF is with the extremely close avg and lowest lows in winter though? Did they stick the thermometer on a buoy 500 miles off the coast or something?

Did they stick the thermometer on a buoy 500 miles off the coast or something? i admit that part was a bit unrealistic. That said I don't think I will ever make it that close again

2019 for a better (cooler) June and July. The rest of the year is similar enough. I like the chance for triple digit heat without having hot weather every day and the lows staying mild even with hot days. I don't like the lack of snow and cold in winter, but it's cool enough to feel like a separate season.

2019
Pretty good summers although a bit hot record temps. The averages aren't too bad but hotter than I'd prefer.

2019 looks better in properly stepping certain temperature ranges.

2019 for the milder winters, cooler summers; although I prefer the rain amounts of 2018
