We normally use Weatherzone here, but lately I've been a fan of weather-atlas.com. It's surprisingly accurate and specific. At least compared to Accuweather.
Any other good ones? Especially for those who are from Australia.

• TWC (Weather.com AKA "Google Weather)
• BoM MetEye
I find them to be highly reliable for me, depending on the conditions. Weatherzone is hopeless for my region.

BOM. Only official source for Australia. Everything else is foreignor-based 3rd party rot. Weatherzone sources their forecasts from the BOM.

Weatherzone tends to use its own forecasting system—called Opticast. Unfortunately, Opticast is a load of horseshit; it bases forecasts solely off of the nearest weather station, yet rarely considers altitude, windward or leeward position, frost hollows, etc. Meteye is an improved BoM, as you can select a location, even the most obscure locations, from absolutely anywhere on the Australian lamdmass (which is extremely useful for me and other folks who live in remote areas).

If you use weatherzone forecasts, theres 3 tabs that say "opticast", "combined bom and opticast" and "bom". So at least you're able to choose what you want.

TWC (Weather.com) and NWS are the only two decent ones.

BOM is the definitive source of course, but I don't like its bland layout and cookie cutter, repetitive descriptions (partly cloudy, mostly sunny, partly cloudy, chance of showers, partly cloudy...yawn). Maybe I'm a huge weather geek, but I prefer specific and more engaging descriptions. Weather-atlas at least uses specific descriptors like "sun giving away to clouds, mix sun & clouds, etc" and it uses good illustrative graphics of the weather icons (like the sun, clouds and rain, which are eye-catching).

Met Office or Weatheronline for the UK.
Never use Accuweather or TWC.

I mostly use FMI, but weatheronline for consistency with other posters in the forecast thread.

For the US, only NWS and TWC are good.

NWS and TWC for the US (obviously).
Weatheronline is usually quite shit and warm-biased for US locations. Or tends to exaggerate warmth/cold.

I don't understand why many are obsessed with weatheronline here. My favorites are wetterzentrale.de and meteociel.fr.

Habit. It became a consensus that us Europeans use weatheronline like 7-8 years ago...

So pretty much herd mentality.

I would use 'silent agreement'. IDK, I registered on C-D in summer 2012, and already then most were using WO.
Nothing wrong with WO IMO, quite accurate:

I don't understand why many are obsessed with weatheronline here. My favorites are wetterzentrale.de and meteociel.fr. It's the most accurate for here, comparable to the Met Office.
