Calgary is an exciting climate most of the year, but it's not perfect. I modified it by changing the highs or lows by 5 degrees. Do you prefer the warmer days, or milder nights? For the cold lovers I added versions with colder days or colder nights. The poll does not have an option for normal Calgary, but you can rank all five if you want.
Normal Calgary: For me, normal Calgary could use a warmer summer and more precipitation. I like summer a lot better with warmer days, but the climate becomes too dry and winter is worse. Warmer nights is a more boring climate, but it has decent summers and winters. I'll take decent over dry. Choosing between the colder versions is tough. Colder days has decent winters, but they are long and it lacks a summer. Colder nights has more warm days, but the rest of the year is too dry, and winter is worse. I think I'll pick colder days and get rid of my summer clothes. Warmer nights > Warmer Days >> Normal >> Colder Days > Colder Nights Note: Higher diurnal range drops the precipitation by 33%, lower adds 33%. Rainy days and sunshine change by 20%. Snow is estimated based on precipitation and temperatures.

Warmer days, because of the lovely and sunny summers, and lovely maximum temps all year in general.
This was a fairly difficult climate battleโฆwhich I love! Always nice when a climate battle actually makes me think about my decision(s)โunlike the vast majority of them.
Kind sir, I wish to personally congratulate you for your outstanding effort. Top stuff mate!
As for the heirarchy (best-to-worst):
I. Warmer days
II. Warmer nights
III. Colder nights
IV. Colder days

Wow, this is actually a tough one. A combination of all of them would obviously be best. Think I'll go with the colder days option, since it's the snowiest one. None of them quite have summers up to the par that I like, so the choice for best, snowiest winters wins it for me. Very close though.

Warmer days by far. Not even close.
1. Warmer days
2. normal 3. colder nights 4. warmer nights
5. colder days. This one is unacceptable. Awful climate.

I picked cold nights. It vaguely reminds me of Pinedale WY (and to a lesser extent Big Piney, one of America's greatest climates).
Next best is colder days, then warmer nights, then warmer days.

I choose Calgary Warmer Nights for a lot of reasons.
-Less frigid winters than Colder Days & Colder Nights -Warmest(?) record low at -40ยฐC -Record high not too intense as Warmer Days -Ideal diurnal ranges compared to Warmer Days & Colder Nights. (Not a fan of huge ones like the Rockies climate) -Not too dry as Warmer Days & Colder Nights -Not too sunny as Warmer Days & Colder Nights -Summer months high/mean/low are the closest to my ideal
