Nagano has good sunshine for Japan, perhaps a pinch warm in summer but preferable to Campbell river's tepid summer temps, so definitely my overall preference. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dalles,_Oregon#Climate seems like a more comparable match in terms of the temperature profile (for highs), I'm not sure which of the two I would select. Maybe Matsumoto still as it isn't borderline semi-arid... but the dalles has more comfortable summer nights. |

Campbell River. Matsumoto summers are hot, humid, and absolutely homosexual as fuck.
But Matsumoto has thunderstorms.
Campbell River is cooler, so it wins.
