True hail from a thunderstorm, about once every 5 years here.
Graupel/snow pellets, 4-5 days per year, usually in early spring.

Once every half a decade or so. They're actually surprisingly rare in my area, which pisses me off because they're such a fluke - I mean, we get severe storms every year here, but when it hails, it usually hails in other areas in Sydney (at least severely - here, we may get a few drops of hailstones, but nothing significant). It's a hit or miss, but mostly miss. I guess it's just dumb luck. They were more common in the early 2000s in my area though.
