The far southeast vs the far northwest of the country. Vladivostok is 17 degrees further south though still slightly colder.

For me it's a tie - Vladivostok is better in autumn and winter, and St. Petersburg is better in spring and summer.

Vladivostok no question.
Winters are much nicer there despite the colder temperatures.

Actually it's only May-July that I prefer in St. Petersburg, so my vote goes to Vladivostok.

St. Pete, no doubt. Sunshine and precipitation pattern is far better, and Vladivostok has way too much lag.

St. Petersburg for better rain and sun distribution.

Vladivostok for me, at least something different. St.Petersburg is just a colder, more depressing version of Riga's climate.

Tough question, they are both far from ideal. St. Petersburg is quite good for its latitude and Vladivostok in turn is really poor for its latitude. I think in general I guess St. Petersburg, because there are warmer springs and early summers and less cold at all. Now:

St Petersburg for the drier summers and milder winters.

How would you rate this? Awesome climate for being so cold imho.

Vladivostok for the much better sunshine hours and fewer snowy days in the winter.

Vladivostok for the equally spread sunshine hours, but it's horrendous.

Vladivostok for the fair winter sunshine figures. St pt is horrible depressing.

Vladivostok for the sun angle + winter sun + autumn lag, despite inferior winter temps + precip pattern and summer sun. Imagine summer feels warmer than what stats indicate due to humidity as well.
Chilly early autumns <<<<< Cold winters for me.

St. Petersburg because it has more snow and a better sunshine pattern.

For me, Vladivostok is better from September to April, while St. Petersburg is better only from May to August. So Vladi wins, despite being terrible for its 43ยบ latitude

Vladivostok because I would see the sun more than twice during the winter, also the high humidity hopefully makes summer seem warmer than it actually is

St. Petersburg
Better winters. Vladivostok is a poor climate in general, and appallingly bad for being at the same latitude as my location (and farther south than Genoa, Italy which has a 9 C mean in its coldest month).
