Both climates are horrible maritime hellholes with washed-out crummers but I'll go with Lublin, obviously.

I have never heard of Lublin. Easily Lublin for warmer summers, colder winters, and more sunshine. B versus D climate

Lublin by far. They can actually get hot.
Not to mention the far superior winters.

Dublin of course for the far superior winters. You can grow many more species of palms in Dublin than Lublin.

Dublin, but they are both crap.
How has Dublin managed to record a higher temp in March than it has in April?

Dublin, with much ease. Although summers are worse, its winters are far superior to Lublin's; with Dublin getting a fair amount of snowy days with much less cold to endure.
Creative thread idea!

This thread reminds me of Brest vs Brest thread... I prefer Lublin. Summer warmth is more important than winter "heat". Surprisingly, Lublin has managed to reach a higher record high in May than in June and July.

Rarely has a choice in a climate battle been this obvious to me. And I think it's the first time I see someone calling an eastern Polish climate "maritime".

Lublin better in every way, especially since you can probably add a degree to those averages for 1981-2010.
I spent a day there in 2007 and saw a better thunderstorm than Dublin probably gets in most decades.

This is a legitimately tough choice. Both are pretty bad, but I'll go with Lublin due to being more interesting and having better summers. The way I see it, I'd be stuck indoors during winter in either climate, so may as well take the one that offers a better summer. Also, -2 C with snow beats 5 C with rain by a huge margin.
But how does Lublin have such a high number of precipitation days in winter despite being so dry? I guess that's a 0.1 mm threshold?

Lublin for the warmer summers, more seasonality, and much better sunshine totals.
