Temperature-wise, that's my summer year round. Hot for being at 5000' elevation.
The climate is also really similar to Kampala in Uganda. Similar temperatures, sun hours, rainfall pattern. Kampala is around 4000'. The biggest difference is the huge number of rainy days in Medellín

There are a few climates in Ladakh which are pretty good. Dras is one of them.
Within the US, unfortunately most of Alaska's towns are below 2500 feet. For the contiguous states the best 5000+ climates would definitely be in WY, MT, CO, and UT. For example: Jackson Hole WY, Yellowstone WY, Peter Sinks UT, Fraser CO, Big Piney WY, Rogers Pass MT.

Yeah of course I could say places like Denali and Mt. Washington and Mt. Rainier, but I was trying to go for places with at least some permanent habitation in the vicinity (nearby location + similar elevation). Also mountain summits tend to be too windy.

Oaxaca City isn't half-bad for somewhere at just over 5,000 ft ASL, quite warm for its altitude and also not bone-dry:

Mount Hagen in the Western Highlands of PNG.... 1677m asl ( 5,500') and at 5*S. I'm sure there is official climate data out there somewhere...
